I made a short stop motion film with photos for the 10c avocado pit contest.
You can see my entry here:

It was the first time ever that I made such a thing, so its still a bit bumpy and rough...but I kind of like it that way.
Let me know what you think of it...please...!!

Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

Actually yesterday I was discussing making stop motion clip of our next work, you seen what we made this weekend? If not see: link
Nice one Obi! Where did you make that? We have got some really cool graffitti going on in Eindhoven. Especially in the so-called Berekuil. They have amazing pieces there now for one of their friends that passed away at a young age. Gives me the chills when I pass by.
Would be really cool to make a Stop Motion Film of that, Make one and put it here!!!
Well, an artist should not really tell all ...the avocado first tries to protect itself with the white cloth...but then wraps itself up in a newspaper and all the stuff that goes on in the world. The avocado decides to get rid of all the stuff and it all burns away untill nothing is left but its core..or soul...
It all starts over again because thats how it goes in life...
However, it can also be that it started all over again bc I didnt have enough frames...;)
I first thought of just burning the avocado and thought it would burn really well bc it is so fat...but it didnt at all. I wanted it to burn untill the pit would fall out,but nope...
The piece is made in Zuiderpark Den Haag near the stadium. We are planning on doing a number of walls of fame on other cities this spring / summer, I'll put Eindhoven on the list and let you know, k?
Often walls that are dedicated to someone are breathtaking. I dedicated one too some years ago to a good friend we lost along the way, eh. Not that mine is breathtaking, but I put quite some effort in it, I focus on form and colour. Most people identify with carachters etc.
Duncan RIP
Good luck.
i like your video although i think it would work better if it went one way only ... but that's just my opinion ...
Haha, I know...I agree!....the avocado just wouldnt burn any longer and it took me ages to put these analog made pics into the film already....really ages...
Next time I will use a digital one!
Thanks!
Nice one Obi! Good colors! Do a Pj one in Eindhoven...hehe! or a kushikushun one...even better LOL

Kushikushun means "lets be happy together" in Quechua (Andean language). I have done fieldwork in the Peruvian Highlands and the ppl there always found it so funny when I said that to them. I knew some more Quechua, but cant remember it all anymore. Oh yeah "Imataq Hutinki?"...means what is your name?...
Hahahahahaha....now I am not sure wether to thank you for this or give you a 'draai om je oren' ....you silly!
