black and white grainy photos

been mucking around with "film grain" and other settings to achieve a certain look... my kids :)

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    looks to me as though you do a pretty cOoL job mucking around with 'film grain' etc.. settings and btw...you have beautiful children...~

    nice shots - on digital dunky? but nothing beats the real film deal!!

    I love very close pictures of people and animal faces. That second picture is amazing. I like to shoot in b/w as I think you can almost see the colour in the shot. Call it strange. Both children are very cute.

    yeah done with a digital... i then added the B&W, film grain and soft light in photoshop...

    i have an old Zenit camera that i could really do with finding out how it works :o

    Could the same type of grain effect be done with high speed film, or is this more controlled?

    i'm pretty sure it could.. but i did it using a sequence of layers and filter effects.

    yeah stick some 1600 or, even better, 3200 speed film in there and away ye go - getting harder to find these eclectic films in the high street though
