    Not bad I bet if you had a better pencil you could make those sellable. I like to use a Design Soft Smooth Black. I use it for all shades because the lead is hard enough that easing up on the pressure will give you nice midtones and you don't have to break your lead making the darkest tones. I would reccomend using an eraser also to bring out highlights.

    Check out this pencil drawing. It's a jpg of an old slide I scanned so I lost some of my better tones, but before this hit the burning barrel it had very rich tones. (now it's just ashes like the rest of my adolescent work...felt good at the time hehe)

    oh and don't smear with your fingers use the pencil lines to create your tones. The oil in your fingers will just turn it all to one dingy grayed out tone.

    You know how to use contrast and midtones, now put them all into one :).

    Good stuff Matt776, Also reminds me of A Level work, before life got soooooo complicated. I did one looking into a stainless kettle and all the reflextion in the room.

    Great stuff, try different papers aswell as pencils.
