thanks jamal! i was actually just trying out my friend's christmas gift to see if i could even get pictures of the moon.
it's a canon powershot se is digital. here's a couple more taken later that night...~

You all are inspiring me to dust off my camera

These are beautiful photographs of buildings and the moon/clouds. I'm reading a book on astronomy, and I can see how people can become almost addicted to photographing the phases of the moon. Yesterday the moon here had a mellow orange tinge, and some fog was in front, but it was low and full, just a mystery waiting to be solved. The previous day the sky was clear, and boy was that moon big! When I was walking it was quite the distraction. I'm surprised I didn't bump into a trash can

......i think on our way home from a road trip upstate, taken in the car on the parkway somewhere along the way...
