Just got Lost Dogs in the mail, yay!

My fiance ordered it as a gift to me. What a great surprise for me today. She's so sweet. I've never picked this one up for some reason. Anyway I'm pumped to have new PJ. Bout to pop it in.

    I've heard a few. Is this alone different than the Go sinlge version? I know Down, Alone, Levin Here, Fatal, Wash, Dead Man, Last Kiss, Dirty Frank, and of course Footstep and Yellow Ledbetter, hard to imagine. But on Education now and every song I don't know has been a god send.

    yes. the alone on lost dogs was re-done with new vocals.

    hmm, so you didn't/don't know all night, education, hold on, sad, other side, and strangest tribe. oh boy. can't wait till you hear all those.

    Yes, it is different. I prefer the one on the Go single over the version on Lost Dogs.

    I remember the time when I wasn't really enthusiastic about the fact they released Lost Dogs...I don't really know why I didn't feel like listenning to that but later on I reconsidered that and now this is just as important to me as all the other records!!! So listen to it 5 times RIGHT NOW!!!

    i noticed all the hate for sweet lew.. its actually a pretty interesting song once you get passed the crapiness :) i know when i first heard the song the first thing that came to my head was "what the flying fuck is wrong with jeff???" seeing as how at the time i also hated help help (i still dislike it), god's dice, and thought low light was a weak song.

    but as a suggestion, undone is one of the most beautiful songs in the PJ catalog.

    I have to disagree- I dig sweet lew- funky bass lines and Jeff on vocals singing about Kareem- I actually prefer it to Dirty Frank.

    GREAT THREAD! i bought lost dogs just before i was got on a train for a 5 hour ride...popped it in..

    ...ive just remembered how cool it was to hear that the songs on it live up to the hype around them! im pretty sure LD is my all-round favourite PJ album!!

    Love LD, but dirty frank is one of my least fav PJ songs. Not sure why, just doesnt appeal to me at all.
    On the other hand, Sad and Footsteps are probably in my top 5.
    Great cd to pick up.

    it took me a couple of listens to get into this CD, but then when i started listening to it, i knew every song from show's i had been to and boots i had... it was great...

    Love this DOUBLE CD... yeah baby!!
