    when you were in virginny did you ever go to the cascades -- in cascade, va?

    once i was there with j and he was telling me about a waterfall in a south american rain forest where he'd spent thanksgiving, and i said, hmm, this must be sort of chumpy compared to that, and he said, nope, it's about the same.

    i found his statement to be incredibly simple and profound, which is why i said, well okay, let's settle down together as mates.
