Men, women, and children,
All playing their roles-
Actors on the stage
of their individual lives.

Men from a foreign land, dressed
In olive drab, hiding in the desiccated
Weeds. Waiting to unleash
a magnificent revenge.

Men in kaffiyehs sitting around
A wooden table, plotting holy war.
While women obliviously cook
The morning meal.

The faceless pilot streaking across
An unencumbered blue sky, guided
By an invisible technical mark.
Inevitably introducing the guilty
And innocent
to the end of their mortality.

Unleashing its fury, the warhead
Rips through the roof, exploding,
sending a fiery hell to the homes occupancy.
Collateral damage is a fact of life. . .
