PJ Inspired Tattoo...

First at little background... Pearl Jam and Eddie have opened my mind, eyes and ears to everything around... both mentally and musically...

After finding the 05 and 06 download thread, i was hooked... I have finished all of the 2005's and 3/4 done with 2006... I have listened to each and every show... makes work somewhat tolerable... Well, after adding each show to iTunes and the coverflow for my iPod, I noticed on several occasions, this little dude and is shadow...

So I thought to myself, what a great idea for a tattoo... It expresses (to me) how a band and it's members can touch so many people's hearts and ears... and most importantly myself...

Check it out...

I liked a lot, is nice when the tattoo talks more to you than the observer some tattoos are just billboards but yours is very PJ and very you! Nice work!

thank you for making me feel better about my tattoo :) mine isn't really blatantly pearl jam and for someone who just glances at it, it's just a butterfly, but it means a lot to me and my best friend (part of it is a dedication to her). i felt bad that a pjammer who glanced at it wouldn't see the "Pearl Jam" embedded in the wings and that it wasn't as specifically pearl jammy, but you know what, as long as it matters to me and those who love me, who cares? you're right, who cares if my tat isn't a billboard! :) my tat, btw, is on tattooedeverything.com, on page 6.

as for your tattoo, it's really original. i love it. it's almost like, to me, a reflecting on yourself, seeing who you were before in the past (the shadow) and realizing how much you've grown (the non shadow). i dont know if that's what you were going for, but that's at least what it says to me :) awesome tat.

wow man, totally original. That's very cool! I have three tattoos and I'm hooked, my next on I want to be PJ inspired, and you have just inspired me to think deeper about an idea for the tattoo.

Good job to you for thinking of it, and good job to whomever did it, it looks awesome.

  • Thanks everyone! Just a few individual comments...

"is nice when the tattoo talks more to you than the observer some tattoos are just billboards but yours is very PJ and very you! Nice work!"

Thanks and I totally agree! I have another tat of just "618" (both my daughters were born on June 18th... 12 years apart, how cool is that)... and I have it the numbers on my wrist facing in... someone asked, why didn't you face them out so people can see them... and I said "it's so I can look at it, not other people"...

I love it! :p I've got three PJ inspired tats, myself.

I'm confused though.... was the "little dude" imported with the music? I've never seen him.
