The road is long
but I can almost see the end
Its near
what is there to do
when people walk blind and all alone in their heads
wrapped around their lives
how can we stop before we're way too far
or is it too late

We should turn around
with tails between our legs
regretting all our mistakes
but its too dark to see
the path behind us has dissolved into darkness

Without seeing eyes
and deaf from all the noise around us
we just walk and we walk
we walk
not knowing who to follow
leaders come from around the corner
everyone wants to be somedy
deciding for everyone else
the world turns dark

everything flows away
feelings of love and content disappear
everything's always great for a while
but darkness holds us down

Eyes closed
some of us just seem to walk alone
people die
some live and then say goodbye
no one knows who's coming or going
and to where
... where does all this lead

we just walk and we walk
eyes closed in the dark
darkness follows our steps like a line of thick blood
no one takes the blame
hardly anyone tries to make it okay

is it too late
to change things back they used to be
how dark can it get

and we just walk and we walk
we cant see
where the road ends
