at long last

not so much a matter of space and time
or being kind with a rewind,
the distance is not so much an obstacle
as it is a motivation.

following a map passed on by weary wanderers,
which road to take is only a suggestion
no direction,
like a convesation with myself brings laughter
I couldn't share until today.

map folded
and tucked under an empty coffee cup seat,
the road is still long,
but at long last
I've noticed the scenery.
