waiting for the whitecap

I know her one inch down
fingers scratch the surface
like a blind man
trying to solve
the mystery of the depths
by the feel of the skin
and if change comes
splashing like waves
against my waist
I'll wait for the whitecap
the one I'll ride back
to where I started
long before
the conclusion
turned me into a baby turtle
scrambling towards
an ocean
of everything I've
misconceived, percieved
or simply accepted
as the obvious
