what do you see when you look in the mirror?
a mudslide clean?
a statue of moving cities?
a fairweather snowglobe:
we are ourselves in the near-distant future
wasting time
waiting for time to waste
if i were a clock i'd give you a hand
pat your back
you are the square of the roots of my hair

see you in philadelphia

walden freeman, I think writing someone else's reply is probably not as helpful as waiting for the woman's response! The trouble with projecting our own fears onto another is that it's like a bent mirror of your own isn't it?

The joy of getting to know others is finding out that they have thoughts that are different from what we expect. At least, to me, that's the best discovery.

Anne-Marie, the trouble with projecting our own take on everyone's writing is that when every poem is taken as literal, it is offensive to the writer..

Yes. It is a mistake for me to pay any attention at all.

And, I certainly wouldn't want to offend anyone.
