right your wrongs and i'll ask your ancestors
in prayer to watch over you even though they're gone

every funeral i ever went to
was the funeral of someone
who made it to heaven

so i learned to scale
the side of the funeral home
without ropes and without ladders

and i finally understand fully your dismay
when i finally gave up my fight
