the time we wasted spending time wisely

traveling down the highway inches from the divider as lightning flashes, the sky photographing us for a sentimental slideshow they'll play on projectors when we'll reach heaven. tonight we'll conquer the dunes when we reach the beach. prick our feet on broken shells or maybe even old syringes if we're lucky enough. i'm finally not confused for the first time in my life and it's so hard to figure out why. the flaws i present are the presents i give myself, and i give myself nothing. just ask me, i'll tell you.

I've been thinking lately about the line between too much dreaming and too much work and seriousness. I've been wondering where the balance should be. Too much on either side seems to lead to nowhere, and too little on either side makes a person unhappy...
Your little poem is probably about something completely different, but I just felt like mentioning that it was almost like what I was thinking of. Sorry to ramble in your thread.
Very nice. A breakaway from too much control, and too little life.
