the xylophones formerly known as snake skeletons are lightening our hearts second-by-second with tunes about what it's like to forget you're alive and the glorious transformation from animal to spirit. i don't believe any of it, it's all rubbish. map after map proves me correct as my voyage emphasizes the age and the map wrinkles more with every painful fold. i take a glance for granted and slowly milk the antidote out of my fangs for the words i'll never have the courage to say anyway.
