sound travels over water
on boats and on
the backs of birds
i'm better off without myself

in my decaying
skin and health
is not as important
as my fingers on pulses
away from triggers
aimed at stampedes of bulls
-- full china shops worth --

once porcelain white
your teeth decayed
over your acid tongue
and you're better off now

than when we were young
