in the bleechers of seamless space sidelines
pristine glass jars gather
and share allegory after allegory
of the good life unscathed
eventually scratched-surfaced
with hole-poked lids
they dream of futures in some alternate dimension
where a jar can do more than just house dying insects

where hundreds of millions of inanimate objects can come together
a chipped glass container could preside
over mountains of used tupperware
torn sweatshirts and missing sweatsocks
fragments of cars, such as disregarded mufflers
and flat tires
can pollute without feeling unwelcomed

banners can wave and be waved at
songs can convey they messages they'd like to
without relying on our interpretations
all evil is beautiful
all pain is a reward

the cycle continues . . .
