what if i counted you out of the race?
after returning your legs? stenciled your grave to scale on the stones
that line your yard?

i don't believe in pouring rains, or second chances
the shots you took proved to be too accurate
and i moved my possessions into a cave
that some conquistador would have claimed for spain

hang on, the gliding birds swoop
i pray to predators and worship warships in draining rivers
i'll leave you by the broken levee, with arrows that say blame
and flash just out of your reach

it's never my fault
it's never my fault
rinse with rivers, repeat
stay current
repeat

    good stuff walden.

    enjoyed it.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
