with a fraction of a second to react
all frames of pictures and time
go slowly disappearing
as idealistically as possible
i've imagined
a fire for every evergreen
and iv's for each arm
reaching across each bed
i've found nothing but cold sheets
and, like a fish thirsty
for a breath of fresh air
i've collapsed in the middle of an intersection
and woke up talking
