i know the path
where my future lies
i know each day
must come, then go
i know you'll miss me
i'll miss you
you can't come along

someday i'm sure
that you'll move on
someday, you know
may never come
someday i'll think back
and miss you more
i can't stay here with you

i sometimes think
i wasn't meant
to have become
the man i am
i'm so afraid
of losing you
but you can't come along

    Wow...that brings up a lot for me...

    This is easily one of my more "accessible" pieces, as it is metaphor-free and not really filled with a lot of unclear or ambiguous ideas.
