Short pieces

I figured I would make a place for some shorter poems that I didn't feel like starting an entire thread for each one. Most of mine seem to be related to nature because i tend to write(or think) my shorter pieces while on the move, i.e. backpacking, hiking, etc. Anyways, if anybody else has some shorter works that they don't feel like making an entire thread for, be my guest to add them here. That being said, here we go:
Pre-Sunset:
God’s smile
Rays of light
splayed across a clay sky
somehow piercing
a desperate cloud
that has no hope
but to fade away
Lonesome:
Solitary tree
atop the cliff
I wonder if it’s
crawling from the erosion
or running towards
the plunge
Rooted:
deep roots
insurance against an untimely death
assurance of a life lived in place
I’ll take my chances
with motion

"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

than to fade away,
at least that's what they say.
but sometimes i feel the only end
that can match the pitch of my emotions
is
to go out with the fury
of an explosion
