An Ending Without a Beginning

...But at the same time I'm not ready
to let go and give up.
It may be time to throw the towel in
or maybe it's too late and I'm already on the mat
but even if I'm down on the ground
I'd like to think I'm like a seed
and while I may have to wait a while
for that proverbial Beam Of Light
to brighten my world and give me
what i need to grow,
in the meantime, I've always been happiest
sitting under a tree
in the middle of the forest
and maybe this time
I'm not alone.

It's a blessing to have a hopeful nature isn't it? You can't stay defeated. ;):D

  • this is nice and peaceful
i would prefer to call it "a beginning without an end" since you refer to not being alone.

thanks a lot. and i agree with you on the title, i actually called it what i did because i wrote and rewrote the first half of this like 6 times before i finally just gave up on it and decided to let the second half stand alone
