colors of grief

funeral processions, marked by American flags
red white and blue color the grief of each widow, weeping
willow brings images of home, treehouses, and youth
fountains might exist but who would be willing to be an adult if given the choice
to stay carefree and innocent for the rest of their natural days?
unless eternal youth really is eternal.
eternity is a bit too long to stay any one way
road can only lead to a single destination, how fitting
rooms never seemed to grant enough privacy.
similar to a government overrun by power hungry
children starving in third world nations around the world
but no one is willing to help,
because they’re just pictures on a television we learned all too quickly
not to trust.

"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
