Wind blows, trees sway.
Forces that have circumnavigated this globe more times than my heart has beaten
Still seem new to me.
As I sit back and marvel at the sight
Of a thousand birds simultaneously taking flight
And a thousand lost loves disappearing into the night
I feel the sorrow, and the joy.
And know that I am still alive
and just maybe I’m going to be okay.
When I escape into whatever wild is left
I’m not sure what I’m running from
Other than everything.
I feel the forces converging on me
And at some point the pressure must be released
And so I leave.
Just know that I’m not leaving you
Everywhere I look I see signs
Of a coming change
The dawning of a new age
I may be young but I’ve filled my years
Poured as much life into them as I could until they foamed and spilled over the rim
But the mess is not worth cleaning up,
And I’ve never cried over spilled milk.
Yesterday I looked up and saw a shadow pass over the sun
The shape-indefinable
and the density
Made me, for a split second, think I had finally found a black hole
To escape into.
The pressure may crush me,
But what’s new about that?
And I think it would be interesting to see darkness conquering light for once
A stark contrast to our incandescent world
The darkness passed, and I resumed my normal life,
Dreaming of days when I can float weightlessly and breathlessly through space
Who needs oxygen when the view takes your breath away?

"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
