When the wave retreats, does the land really think it has won?
When the land fails to crumble, does the sea believe the fight is done?

Who guaranteed the sun will rise again
Who made us believe light and dark cannot be passing trends?

Where the ocean meets the shoreline
The dawn must struggle to begin to shine.

Oppositional forces thrive in the fight
Oppositional forces will destroy all that is right
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

I am tired; my heart is
    sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
    no more forever."

  • thanks a lot. i actually had the same exact thought that i was onto something with this train of thought, but couldn't quite finish it at the time. This poem is based off of a line in another poem I wrote that I've always enjoyed, so if anyone would like to expand on what i wrote or take some of the sentiments and make them their own, be my guest.
