"Novels"

Anyone here ever write or attempt to write a reasonably lengthy work of prose? I've been working on one for a few months based on a complete whim, and I was wondering what other people's experiences have been in trying something like this. Also, a couple of my recent poems have been written from the point of view of the main character of my "novel" and I'm pretty sure I'm actually going to include them in it somehow
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

i do a lot of writing and i am going to school to be a journalist when i grow up. i must have attempted to start on at least 10 different occasions and i have never gotten past 2 pages. i do a lot of writing, and i would always sit down with a great idea in mind (based on things going on in my life) and just stop after a while. one day, i AM going to write a novel though...!!!

    so you are not alone.
  • I've spent the last 4/5 years finishing a novel which I'm trying to publish at the moment. I finally finished it at the end of last year.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

  • I have a hard time writing anything lengthy so, props to you for working hard.
