Sitting on the Porch

I saw death today sitting on a porch
patient as a stone,
icon of the unknown
emotionless as a black hole,
timeless as the immortal soul

I smiled and waved as I passed by
warmed by the sun,
full of love and fun
atoms vibrating intensely
thoughts expanding immensely

someday I will stop and chat
but for now
the light is bright
too bright
to go gently into the night
To pie I will reply
But mr. justam
is who I am

Mr. Pie, I really like this one because it seems thoughtful, resilient, and hopeful. It seems very much like you. :)
