Can't think of a good title yet.

be kind to me :)

Meditation, contemplation,
Searching for this souls salvation.
In the darkness of the night, before
the dawn brings harsher light.

A sighing breath, the sound I hear,
The ones I love sleep deeply near,
where I lie and in nights chill
I shiver and turn, thinking still.

The house is calm, my mind is not,
thoughts whirl and crash, they will not stop.
Butterfly bright, and fever hot,
spinning, twisting, tied in a knot.

Sleep is distant, and fading more,
Yet exhaustion sits at the core
of me. And carried with me everywhere,
this extra burden I cannot share.

I stare into the nights black light,
I fear I cannot win this fight.
For it is with my own minds eye,
But win or lose, I will still try.

And as the light fades black to grey,
The day begins, night slips away.
I muster strength, albeit slight,
And rise to carry on the fight.
A human being that was given to fly.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's lovely. :)

Read Emily Dickinson, you might like her style.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'
