war of words

It's a war of words
left behind are casualties of thought
as they die
language becomes a formality
ignorance and arrogance have run their course
hand in hand we surrender our freedom of thought
what do these words mean
when their only objective is to be louder than the others
we weild the mighty weapon
primative and most powerful
it is dull and soft yet cuts through mind and bone.
We can't lay them down
we wouldn't if we could
our only danger is allowing someone else to weild them
This guy wouldn't know magesty if it bit him in the face- Strong bad

  • I liked this one Grasshopper. :)

    "what do these words mean
when their only objective is to be louder than the others" - excellent!

"We can't lay them down"--this part made me think of the song "Lay Down Your Arms" by ASIA.
Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen
