i don't drink coffee
i don't drink tea
if you don't want me around
stop fuckin' with me
i felt you coming
like a warm summer breeze
dropped like a ton of bricks
you brought me to my knees
i prayed for you
i prayed for light
you came and you conquered
now i'm left here to fight
on my own, like before
nothings really changed
except a vision of what could have been
my mind is rearranged
God is my mercy
God is my grace
you better be there in the end
or i'll be really pissed

the ending is cool too.
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
and many times it is beautiful.
i don't believe in luck.
attitude, exceptance, happenstance, love, forgiveness, adventure, safety, faith, responsibility, self worth, beauty, freedom, pride, music, laughter, conversation, patience, balance, soul.
these are the things i believe in.
i was just frustrated when i wrote this.
"better out than in, i always say!"
thank you, chadwick
i'd rather the ending go like this:
God is my mercy
God is my grace
i wish we were together now
and at last i could touch your face
but i'm not feeling very confident today
feelings are the greatest gift, but also a poisoned one.
Very nicely done, yellowbird.
Would have wanted the ending to be better for you though
