I am interested to find out which artists the Pearl Jam community felt strongly about. I personally like Wassily Kandinsky.
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

The painting's awareness of the psychological interiority of the subject - the artist himself, of course - is unprecedented and unsurpassed. Not only was Rembrandt a master painter, but he was a consummate humanist. What stares back in the photo? Disdain? Introspection? A sharpened critical faculty? World weariness? Whatever it is, it's more than brushstrokes figuratively representing a human face, much more.
I'm putting my 2004 Yale Series of Younger Poet's submission poetry on its own blog. My poetry inspired by Jacob Lawrence works are up there.
