[poem] Olive tree in Nazareth

…free now
the journey begins.
looks onto East, looks onto West
the oldest rhythm alive
strokes further away each time
like a last breath kept in forever
a leaf holds its dignity long after death

if it only knew how it resembles peace
waltzing down towards moral ground
travelling south so gracefully and uncoloured

those that witness, skillful and accomplished
only bow inside their bellies, waving contented

two more looks upon the region
the earth commenseces a kiss
a final cowardly counsel remains
shake their trees but never their hands
"Ransom paid the Devil, he whispers pleasing words.
Triumphant are the angels if they can get there first."
