You are an angel you know that!
An angel with the softest of eyes.
Oh I know I have never touched them with my own, I know.
But I have seen them in photographs and places where men dream.
Filling my dreams is when your soft stars from heavenly black fall over me, over me.
As I slip through imagines dreamt of you, only my heart races faster than I can fall.
I have fallen.
I have been caught.
In your arms now, take me in.
Our eyes meet, forever I am weak.

In your arms now, take me in.

I read this and was like, um, what the fuck is a Neruda.
Looking in the closest-handiest dictionary I found zero for Neruda.
So off I went strolling into my bedroom, grabbing my little backpack.
This backpack is home to a big ass dictionary.
Waiting for me inside these pages between nerts & Nerva I found Neruda.
Thank you kindly for the mental excercise.
btw, how the heck did you know/think of such a name?

Pablo Neruda is a famous love poet from Chile who also happened to be a communist. Although he often writes from a depressing viewpoint about unrequited love. The film Il Postino is about his visit to a small village in Italy and I have a hunch from your writing you would really enjoy the flick!
I was recording with a friend over the long weekend and he had one of Neruda's poetry books so I thought of him. Hadn't really read him since the 90's!
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand

i just need to say
I'll have to check out this Pablo Neruda dude.
Thanks.
