Curtains down.

Wings of night so old slip over fading eyes.
Whispering across cold pane, a tree is heard dragging shadows off.
Lone candle friend flickers, closing loneliness.
Every sound stirs in old walls of memory.
Floor well worn, was once everything.
Stone fireplace crackles in an ancient warm speech understood.
Muttering old voice, a dusty house is dying.
Many a year have taken rarely given.
Moon songs pour silver curtains down one last time.

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
