My last instant thought, straight from my finger tips to your retina, in the blink of an... well...

    What could be can't
    what would be won't
    what did we do
    what did we, don't

    What you were was
    what I was you
    but what we did
    did we undo

    What beats so hard
    behind the eyes
    behind the masks
    and alibis

    A single thought
    a narrow view
    what once I was
    you now are too

    And so it goes
    and goes nowhere
    just deeper now
    and there is there

    I am 16 going on 17
    I know that i'm naive
Fellows I meet may tell me I'm sweet
    And willingly I believe

I am 16 going on 17 innocent as a rose
    Bachelor dandies
    Drinkers of brandies
What do I know of those

    Totally unprepared am I
To face a world of men
Timid and shy and scared am I
    Of things beyond my ken

    I need someone
    Older and wiser
    Telling me what to do
    You are ............

    Not what you could
    not what you are
    not what you want
    won't be a scar

    Bend
    but don't break

    Take
    but don't take

    Give
    but don't bleed

    Love
    but don't lead

    enie, meanie, miney, moe,
catch a ****** by the toe
if he hollars, let 'em go
    enie, meanie, miney, moe

My Mother say's to pick the very best one, and...

    YOU
    ARE
    NOT
    IT

    (her words, not mine..........)

    Remember when
    that was then
    and not before
    and not again

The hardest thing about being this type of teacher is sitting indoors grading a hundred papers (yes, a hundred!) on a beautiful day. :? :P

I'm finally going outside now. :D

You rarely see "paperwork" and "boner" in the same sentence. There is a reason for this.
