I usually don't write super-duper depressed or dark poetry.
But I thought to myself, why not?
So here goes..

When rainfall is as dark as blackened sorrow nothing cries like I do.
With more pulling downward force than a swirling vortex’s gloom, my beating heart.
A spider-web shattered windowpane holds me in, holds me back.
Deterioration has accepted my soul.
In crumbling ruins are yesterdays dreams.
My spirit has slipped down.
This beloved heart is no more.

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
