My window is small
In the night
I see stars
Precisely five in number
Four of them smaller
In fear cling
To the big one -
Could one star bully another?
My window is small
In the daytime
I see flowers
Precisely two in number
One yellow and the other red
In regimental attention
Oblivious to
The whistling wind -
Which shouts commands at them?
My window is small
Too small to invite
The whistling winds
But the dust
Like ghosts crowds in
Forming a thin film
On which I write -
How can you come in to read?
I am in a room
Without a door –
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
