his work is hard but there are rewards
like a red sunset
a cloudless morning over a green mountain
a cool spring to splash his face in
a moonlit night around a glowing campfire
his work is hard, so a cowboy must keep mindful of the beauty

we are all blind cowboys
moving through our days
viewing without seeing
waking, but our senses still sleep
speaking without hearing
consuming, and not savoring
touching but not feeling

open your eyes to your life
it's gonna be a hard ride
but there's beauty, so much beauty

see it
