drifting here in shadow
tired, beaten, confused
not sure of what you'll tell me
or whether you've abused

do I speak and risk the burden
of allowing my words to wound
should I present my truth, take the risk
that you and I are doomed

my mind is fraught with questions
body is tired and numb
do you even understand my pain
or has the drama just begun

I'll wait now for your entrance
heart heavy, mind awry
fear I'm losing my greatest love
but is this love or lies

    tis a difficult thing putting oneself on the line for truth. hoping at least for a half truth to appease the ache cause a full one will destroy you.
