There you are so fetching, dressed up all in white lace
Surrounded by three crooked teddy bears
Hands folded in your lap, blonde hair, beneath jaunty hat brim
framing your pretty face
He stands in his Sunday best behind you
Protective hand upon the chair, smiling beneath the moustache
Cream vest and bright white shirt, he looks so handsome
He seems so proud and true
But looks can be deceiving, his words they are but lies
Dear Suzann I've come to know this
the past six seasons from distant shores
and under ever changing skies
Yes it makes a pretty picture, it almost had me fooled
To see you there both smiling, painting such a loving scene
But you see Suzann, I know things that a woman shouldn't know
About that man behind you and I know I'm not alone
So I sat down and wrote this letter, to tell you what I know
Don't turn your back upon him, or trust him with your heart
He'll betray and he'll abuse you, as you will come to see
His promises are empty as empty as can be.
Dear Suzann if you are smart you'll mark my words
And heed the things I say
You'll watch him when he's sleeping and right throughout the day
You need to pay attention and make sure that you see
All the lies he's telling you
Yours Sincerely

this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
There's plenty more where that one came from cate, I've been strangely inspired of late.
