none of this collaborative writing/too many cooks in the kitchen shit, or "stone won't write songs that sound like something he's done in the past" crap......he needs to bust out some big ass meaty riff like an Animal, Even Flow, Alive, etc to show us all whose band it really is!!

he did it for Yield with Do the Evolution, and that is one of the all time greats and a barn-burner at live shows....its time for some more

lets hope for more Stone riffs/Eddie lyrics

thats what started this band in the first place...most bands wouldn't have ever strayed from that successful formula....I love that they did, but lets see what they can do with the old formula in 2008
"I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young

Agreed. Many of the band's best songs are built off of Stone's riffs.

" Do The Evoloution", "No Way", and "In Hiding" were all excellent Stone Riffs from Yeild.

Riot Act had some good ones:

    1) The distorted riff thing he does during the bridge on "1/2 Full".
    2) "All or None" had great ones as well

I remember reading that he was a little bit pissed off at the direction Eddie took "Bushleaguer" as he was going for something completely different. I tend to take Stone's side as "Bushleaguer" has a great series of riffs that could have been a totally different rocking song had Eddie not gone for the spoken word thing.

    Yeah...Stone is bad ass
I'd love for him to bust out some funky riffs on the next album.

Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I am all for more Stone on the next album. More Stone, less Ed on guitar. Love ya Ed, but Stone's just a better guitarist. :)
