Has anyone noticed the lack of prose?

It just seems weird, It's in the title but no one seems to write any.

Does anyone want to?

Buzzards, bloat-bellied with hunger, still would not satiate their pangs by swooping upon the swollen blue corpse, laying on his twisted back and staring mad-eyed and God-defying, from the blood-patterned, dusty prairie ground. They circled in figure-eight swirls and departed over the northern hills, watched by a lone chimpanzee, once the prize pet of the farm, now its sole inhabitant and still brandishing the rifle he had pumped into his now rotting master, only two days beforehand.

    Carry on ....

Of course, it was only a matter of time before people came and discovered the mess. The chimp was not consciously aware of this, but he sensed it. He was eating all the food that he could find in the closet, he was exploring all the rooms he'd been barred from, and he was starting to get antsy to see what was over the hill...

When the pick-up trucks eventually appeared and kicked up the dust, he'd be ready to slip out the back way.

the dust kicked and the chimp slipped silently, no less muting his propensity to bray like a donkey, to the corner of the scenic set of the latest hollywood romance entitled, "Bonzai and Bonzo on the Road to Slovakia"
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

As the chimp sidled stealthily to the side of the staged bed and breakfast and pronounced to the cardboard waiter his particular love of apricots, the overtley camp director pointed, as expected, overtly camply toward the chimp while screeching to the casting manager, "I need that chimp"

And HOW she needed that chimp was the question most people would wonder. For you see in some countries, slicing the top of a primates head off as they are still alive and devouring theirs brains is to be a delicacy. Oh but that was not what she had in mind. For you see she was of a particular stock.

Her greatest priority, being, as she was, a creature of little patience and a violent temper, much evidenced by previous outbursts which had rendered her circle of friends small and inclined to distrust all people, was to select the perfect condiment with which to garnish her meal. Understanding as she did that this was no ordinary chimp, a plate-dollop of peri-peri was insufficient at best, assuming the ill-fated simian might be cooked just the right amount, and at worst, simply a slur against all apekind and one that was vehemently opposed by all persons of higher breeding with such morals as one has come to expect of a product of the upper tier of our educational system.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

What perplexed the poor primate most was how his sex had changed in the period of considering his plight since he fired the gun. But post-homicidal tristesse will bring out the woman in anyone. :D

Oh, right, you mean the camp director.

    *Gets back on track*

He feared as a camp film director that his excessive reading of Henry James had caused him to perceive himself as Isabel Archer and, furthermore, to construct in his mind thought processes which, transferred to the third person and past tense would still read as the most insane examples of free indirect thought in the Pitpissheads' Guide to Narrative Discourse (eds. keith Harris and Orville, 1982). He gazed down lovingly at the chimp and admired his cruel but patient mouth.

The director had SUCH a story in mind...and it involved chimps, dogs, cats, and pigs in costume. Silks and feathers, hats and belts...he knew it'd be the hit of the drag-queen's pet parade ceremony!
