Last Man Standing OR suicide OR Question OR Inevitability
Last man standing, he wonders out loud.
Questioning all that he is, cogito ergo sum.
Emotion is an instinct, from long dead times,
He buries that last connection, to what he was.
Days become fragments of his mind, broken.
No one sees him, hears him, feels him, loves him.
How can he die if he cannot live?
He finds meaning at last. The answer, a paradox of thought.
There is no answer.
The wife of a police officer who killed himself
By stepping in front of a train
Has blamed excessive work targets
And paperwork that made him depressed

a 4th tittle...The Lost
And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
Thanks. I had 4 different ideas in my head for this so many different interpretations can be drawn.
As way of clearing it up, at the end he becomes didillusioned and kills himself.
Thus the note at the end (BBC NEWS STORY)
Last man standing, he wonders out loud.
Questioning all that he is, cogito ergo sum.
Emotion is an instinct, from long dead times,
He buries that last connection, to what he was.
Days become fragments of his mind, broken.
No one sees him, hears him, feels him, loves him.
How can he die if he cannot live?
The final fragment slots into place, completion.
Understanding beyond reason, superiority.
Returns to find no change.
The enlightened walk forever.
that is the way I mainly saw it...I did see a couple different angle though
And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
Afraid to say quite what they feel.
Put there thoughts on paper
Try to make things real.
Wake up next morning,
Read what they've done.
Embarrased of their feelings,
Shown to no one.
If there is any point at all
Among the pointlessness we see,
Make sure you let your thoughts be heard,
Just let your thoughts be free.
