If I could go back...
Oh, the things I would mend.
The words kept, unspoken,
I would be sure to lend.

For time wasted away,
I would stand to reclaim -
To spend it more wisely,
Than to burden and blame.

I would love with arms open -
And not push you aside,
For the sake of my anger...
Nor the sin of my pride.

I'd love you completely...
On the outside, as in.
But I'm left with just memories
Of what could have been.
