Days fly by
Without you near
Staring out the window
Of this newly furnished box I call home

But my home lives
And breathes
Smog filled California air

And my home is relative
To my son
To the full moon shining
Over our heads
That are 3000 miles apart

Years of this
Days of that
Still I cannot pinpoint
The energy that flows
Between us

If you will not agree
I cannot make you see
You believe your denial
Is your saving grace

Sleep on the couch
As your clothes are on the bed
Don’t hold me close
As you can’t afford it

You taught me
I need to live
Please do it with me.
sometimes life don't leave you alone
