A Visitor

I saw a little girl today
Out of the corner of my eye
I thought she was mine
But she wasn't

Twice she came to see me
Or perhaps to look at
My children playing
She was welcome

I wanted to let her know
Not to be scared of coming
That I will love her
If she wants

Is she of the past or future
She seems to like it here
I really don't know
I'm curious though

    i like this one..i visualize a park where a mother sits quietly watching her children playing..a mysterious child appears, a gaurding angel perhaps or a lost spirit looking for herself, maybe envious..

    the possible scenarios are endless. I want to hug that child and let her know she's safe. I want to know more about her. Very thought provoking.

    I'm glad you liked it. I'm not a poet. Sometimes over the years I've been inspired to write a few lines. I wrote a poem on the night that my daughter was born and this is the only rambling I've attempted since then (only nearly 4 years ago!!!)

    I've been sensing the presence of a little girl lately. I keep turning around, thinking it's my little girl but it's not. Bit odd really. My SIL thinks it's my next child. I'm not ready yet!! I'm run off my feet with two!!

    Maybe if the little girl is your next child it's just a vision of her from the future? :)

    i like the idea of the lil girl you been seeing being your next child..could be possible i bet, i dunno..

    i believe in all kinds of things..past lives=reincarnation..spirtual energy doesnt
    just disappear im sure..(e.g.) i believe all life forms have a spirit..
    trees,water,grass,the sky, ect..we should respect all..
    read about shamanism..it is cool as F***..

    I think I've missed something here!!

    I believe in both past lives and perhaps a future echo? Maybe like a premonition or a glimpse of what would happen if you chose one way over the other.

    It's actually just registered that I had a miscarriage between my two which would explain the little girl being smaller than my 3 1/2 year old?

    Do you believe in having a totem? Like a deer or lion or something?
