just stumbled onto this nugget, presumably from 1994....never knew this was out there

    as i recall, the band played a DC show and were invited to the White House for a VIP tour. Ed was escorted to meet the Pres while the rest of the band was shuffled off for a behind-the-scenes tour,...

    yeah, i've read about that, i guess in the "five horizons" biography, but never actually saw this pic before

    the band shot the shit and asked him about basketball.

    Dave A. , who inexplicably was not invited by the band, was very upset that they did not use the opportunity wisely -- he wished they had asked him when he was going to legalize pot.
