ask her for me

Thanks I'll try to escape
not today
any doubts that care to stay
feeling scared to play
fingers tremble on my guitar
plug in anyway
sitting at a table in an empty bar
the peasant girl drifts my way
smiling while a play guitar
she decides to stay
will you have a shot of whiskey?
with me?
okay
will you tell me where you're from
is it far
is it down the sidewalk
where i parked my car?
are you the one who passed my way?
ashing a cigarette
she brushed her hair aside
she'd stay for another song
her smile is the song I play

i like the part where she decides to stay

    good imagery

    especially the simple

    "she brushed her hair aside"

    you have my vote

    keep on ritfw
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
