For Stef, who touched me with her kindness and her patience.

The Storm

above me, these decisions
threatening to disband
thinking I'm the man at fault
intervention by my hand
are we inconceivable
praying desperate words
accusing your god
of the evils we heard

out in open water
wishing it was warm
please stop all this movement
let the tide control the storm

overhead, decisions
guided by the land
let me know that I'm at fault
mistakes made as I stand
are we undeniable
praying deperate words
calling for your god to help
oh, if only he had heard

out in open water
wishing it was warm
please stop all this movement
let the tide control the storm

over open water
managing my form
please... stop all this movement
let the tides control the storm

drifting underwater
devil I was born
someone stop this movement
let the tide control the storm
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."

NOTE: Everything I write in the P,P&M section are intended to be songs, not poetry.
