carbon wave

they put these dreams in your head
when you're trapped in their stead
waiting for something big to come along and change
this whole frame, create
an even scene from red to green
off to find another end
reliable to be your friend

only you, for a second, unrelenting
labelled true, to the end, unselective

tidal waves contort the earth
when you're trapped inside your hearse
waiting for another wave to come along and clean
this whole scene, create
inhabitable mass from inert gas
off to find another end
reliable to be your friend

only you, for a second, unrelenting
labelled true by truth and un-natural selection
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."

    a lesson in conversion
    from life to energy
    the direction of the light that flows
    so grows the tree

    complete your moves and vend our preservation
